According to a 2022 survey of online users in the United States, mobile-first communication methods such as texts, messages, and SMS were the most popular methods for respondents to reach other contacts in their personal life, with 72 percent of respondents reporting to prefer this method. Emails ranked second, with almost half of the surveyed respondents reporting to prefer this form of communication in their personal lives.
