During a global survey carried out among marketers in August 2023, two thirds of respondents stated they believed that third-party cookie deprecation would occur in 2024 as planned by Google. On the other hand, the remaining third said they believed the move would be pushed back again. In April 2024, Google announced that it would indeed delay the step until at least early 2025.
