Number of customers at selected digital banks in the UK 2023
In February 2018, the London-based app-only bank, Revolut, announced that they hit 1.5 million customers, a figure that grew to 25 million by November 2022 and to 35 million by November 2023. With this exceptional customer base, Revolut is the most commonly used digital bank in the UK. In 2023, Monzo ranked second, with 7.5 million customers announced in May. Starling Bank followed with a customer base of 3.6 million as of March 2023.
