According to a survey conducted in 2022, 46 percent of Americans said that the increased focus on sexual harassment and assault in the last five years, after the #MeToo movement went viral for encouraging victims of sexual abuse to share their experiences online, has made it harder for men to know how to interact with women in the workplace. In comparison, 59 percent of Republicans and 36 percent of Democrats shared this belief.
