When asked what their most essential dessert for Thanksgiving was, approximately 55.8 percent of responding U.S. adults picked pumpkin pie in 2021. Apple and pecan pie followed suit with 43 and 22.9 percent of respondents opting for these choices, respectively. Babka, a kind of sweet braided bread, was picked by 8.3 percent of respondents.
