Opinions on eSports sponsorships in China 2020
More brands are jumping on the bandwagon to reach young consumers through sponsoring eSports tournaments. A consumer survey found that almost 49 percent of Chinese eSports fans considered brand sponsorships good for the long term development of eSports leagues, as per results in January 2020. However, only 6.9 percent of respondents stated that sponsorships had no impact on spectator experience.
