Number of #coronavirus posts by IG influencers as of March 2020, by profile size

Between December 2019 and March 2020, there has been a large presence of coronavirus-related posts online. Instagram influencers with followers ranged from 5k to 20k made up the largest group posting with the hashtag coronavirus, at 101,522 posts made by 51,633 influencers. In contrast, 781 influencers with over one million followers made 3,735 posts with the hashtag in the measured period. Half of the recorded posts with #coronavirus were made between March 7 and 13, 2020.
