Health spending in Barbados as share of GDP 2010-2021
In 2021, spending on health represented eight percent of Barbados' gross domestic product (GDP), up from seven percent recorded a year earlier. This figure has remained relatively stable in recent years, ranging from an equivalent of six to eight percent of the country's GDP. In comparison, that year Cuba's healthcare spending corresponded to 14 percent of its GDP, the highest value reported among Latin American and Caribbean countries.
