In a survey published in 2021, sexual harassment was perceived as the major threat for young people according to Italian respondents aged 13 to 23 years. About 34 percent of the survey sample indicated sexual harassment as the main danger among young people. Moreover, 29 percent of interviewees believed that drugs represented a relevant threat, whereas 17 percent and 11 percent of respondents pointed out bullying and cyber-bullying, respectively.
According to another recent survey conducted in Italy, some respondents declared that they would not know what to do if they felt to have a tough time due to some threats occurred online. However, a part of interviewees stated to be willing to talk to someone they trusted if they felt in danger.
