Average monthly search figures reveal that UK TikTok users are interested in overnight oats. It is a simple technique to prepare your breakfast oatmeal overnight by letting the oats soak in milk or a dairy alternative, combining it with seeds, fruits, nuts, sweeteners, and spices, e.g. cinnamon. On average, over 70,000 searches in any given month were made on TikTok by UK users. Other local dishes, such as coronation chicken or foreign ones, such as birria tacos and onigiri, also garnered the attention of users. Chinese and pizza beat out Indian food when it comes to takeaway popularity. Out of home consumption of Indian food in the UK was around 13 grams per person per week in a non-pandemic year.
