This statistic shows the number of finished new dwellings built in East Germany from 2000 to 2021. In 2021, 17,000 new dwellings were completed, an increase on the year before. During the specified time period, the number of built residential dwellings fell from 45,000 to 13,000 by 2010, gradually increasing again in the following years. In Europe, Germany is fifth regarding the number of dwellings per 1,000 citizens.
