In 2024, the average monthly premium for Medicare Part D stand-alone plans increased slightly to 48 U.S. dollars from 43 U.S. dollars in 2023. Medicare beneficiaries can enroll in a plan that provides Part D (drug coverage) as a supplement to traditional Medicare, called stand-alone plans, or they enroll in a Medicare Advantage prescription drug plan (MA-PD).
