Italy: olive oil purchase frequency 2018, by sales channel

This statistic illustrates the results of a survey on the purchase frequency of olive oil among Italian consumers as of June 2018, broken down by sales channel. According to data, about a third of respondents who usually purchased olive oil in supermarkets, hypermarkets and large scale retailers bought olive oil every two to three weeks. By contrast, only seven percent of respondents who usually bought olive oil directly from the producer had a similar purchase frequency.
