Monthly active users of leading news apps in China 2024

Tencent News was the most popular news app in China with nearly 356 million monthly active users as of November 2024. ByteDance's Toutiao was the closest local rival, with a user base of around 287 million. All other news apps had below 100 million monthly active users.
