This statistic depicts the results of a survey question designed to find out the frequency with which Italians used to purchase food products directly from local producers and/or farmers as of September 2017, sorted by age group. It was found that 25 percent of people in the 55-64 age category had the habit to purchase food from local producers at least once per week. Respondents between the ages of 18 and 24 years declared to buy directly from the growers once per month. Conversely, the highest share of people not used to buy from local producers was found among the respondents aged 65 and over.
