The source notes the turnover is excluding taxes "from the sales of goods and products and the provision of services to third parties". Moreover the source states the figures only include companies located in the Netherlands. It states: "Only the turnover of the activities exploited in the Netherlands is included in the case of foreign companies with Dutch branches. For Dutch companies with branches abroad, only the turnover of their (retail) stores in the Netherlands was included."
The source defines the shop floor area as the floor area of the store which is visible and available to the public.
