Interest in botanically flavored foods in selected countries in Europe 2016

This statistic illustrates the share of respondents who show an interest in botanically flavored food in selected European countries in 2016. In Germany and Poland, almost a third of respondents showed an interest in botanically flavored food at 29 and 28 percent respectively. The share of consumers interested in such products was lower in France, Italy and Spain, however, with less than 20 percent of respondents showing an interest. Due to an ongoing shift in behavior towards healthy eating trends, 'natural' flavors often appeal to consumers. Plant-based ingredients are generally the preferred option for those looking to cut processed or artificial ingredients from their diet.
