Chinese consumers tend to have more trust in media compared to those from other countries. According to an annual survey about the level of trust in various aspects in different countries released in January 2024, approximately 77 percent of the Chinses respondents expressed their trust in the media, the highest proportion among other countries. The trust level declined significantly in 2020, probably related to the way how media reported coronavirus pandemic.
