The total income of the performing arts industry in the Netherlands amounted to approximately 663 million euros in 2020. This was roughly 240 million euros lower than the income generated in 2019, prior to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The decline in income in 2020 ended a nine year run of positive income growth in the performing arts sector of the Netherlands which began in 2012.
