Not-for-profit theaters' aggregate attendance in the U.S. 2018-2022
The aggregate attendance at surveyed not-for-profit theaters in the United States bounced back in the 2022 fiscal year, following a sharp decline with the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. While the aggregate attendance decreased to roughly eight million in the 2021 fiscal year, it exceeded 16 million between October 1, 2021 and September 30, 2022.
