During a 2019 survey carried out among marketers from across the globe, 84 percent of marketing agencies stated that their clients used basic segmentation, an increase of one percent. Optimizing email for mobile devices and regular list cleansing were also popular practices of clients' email marketing efforts, at 69 percent and 56 percent respectively.
