Despite public opinion that divorce is becoming more frequent in the United States, the divorce rate actually seems to be declining, with Nevada being the top state for divorce in 2021, with a rate of 4.2 divorces per 1,000 of the population, followed by Oklahoma, Wyoming, Alabama, and Arkansas.
