Throughout the period considered here, the stock of bank loans to non-financial corporations in Italy decreased considerably: it amounted to approximately 814 billion euros in 2013 and sank to about 631.2 billion euros as of 2019. However, in 2020, the end-of-period stock of bank loans to firms reached 668 billion euros.
