With approximately 40 square kilometers, Arresø is the largest lake in Denmark. It is located around 40 kilometers north of Copenhagen on the island Zealand. The Lake Esrum is the second largest with a size of 17 square kilometers, followed by the brackish water Stadil Fjord.
