Indifference towards politics was higher among Italians holding only a primary or lower secondary school qualification. In fact, 46 percent of those who only attended elementary school never informed themselves about politics in 2023. On the contrary, more educated people were following political developments with more interest. Only twelve percent of Italians with at least a university degree were not interested in politics.
