The COVID-19 pandemic radically changed forecasts for Latin America's online sales growth in the coming years. While November 2019 forecasts indicated that retail e-commerce sales in the region would grow by 12.5 percent in 2020, those of May 2021 actually showed an estimated increase of 63.3 percent over that same year.
