This statistic shows public responses to the question "Do you think that gay people in the UK are generally treated equally, better or worse than straight people?" in Great Britain when asked in March 2014. Labour and Lib Dem voters tended to be more likely to feel that gay people are treated as second-class citizens, UKIP and conservatives are less likely to take this view, though across the entire British political spectrum relatively few people feel that gay people are treated better than straight people. This view is held, however, more abundantly among the right-wing parties (namely the Conservatives and UKIP).
