The most popular product the company offers is Dairy Milk, which was first introduced in 1905. In 2023, an estimated 20.6 million people in Great Britain consumed one of these bars.
Cadbury introduced their first Easter egg in 1875, and nearly 100 years later the well-known Crème Egg was launched. It is now the fifth most popular product offered by Cadbury, despite only being available between January and Easter Sunday. Another seasonal favorite is the Cadbury Roses selection box, with 35 percent of people associating them with Christmas.
Cadbury, originally known as Cadbury’s, was founded in Birmingham, England in 1824. In 1969 it merged with Schweppes but had demerged by 2008. Two years later it became part of the American conglomerate Kraft Foods. After splitting into two companies in 2012, Cadbury is now a subsidiary of the American multinational company Mondelez.
In 2019, Mondelez announced that it will introduce a 100-calorie cap on products such as Cadbury Fudge and Cadbury Mini Fingers in a bid to fight the obesity crisis.
