Natural gas production in Africa amounted to 254 billion cubic meters in 2023, down from some 256 billion cubic meters in the previous year. Between 1998 and 2023, production of natural gas in the African continent increased by nearly 143 billion cubic meters, reaching a production peak in 2021.
