Leading social media usage reasons in France 2023

A survey conducted in the third quarter of 2023 found that more than half of internet users in France used social media to stay in touch with friends and family. Filling spare time and reading news stories also appeared to be among the main reasons for using social media, while 16 percent of respondents reported using social media platforms to follow celebrities or influencers.
