At private nonprofit 2-year institutions in the academic year of 2021/22, tuition costs totaled on average 18,480 U.S. dollars and students borrowed, on average, 4,171 U.S. dollars in student loans. The average tuition cost for 2-year institutions was lowest for public 2-year institutions, at 3,564 U.S. dollars.
