Number of disabled 3-21 year olds in the U.S. 2021/22, by disability
During the academic year of 2021-2022, there were approximately 25,000 individuals who were 3 to 21-years-old with traumatic brain injuries in the United States who were covered by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). In the same year, 426,000 individuals with intellectual disabilities were served by IDEA.
