In China, there has been a wider use of virtual workers to increase efficiency in sectors like finance, retail, tourism, and media. However, cost-effectiveness remained one of the major challenges. In a survey conducted among B2B customers in China in March 2024, about 45 percent of respondents mentioned high costs as the most common barrier in the development of digital humans.
