According to a survey conducted in 2024, Generation Z respondents were most likely to report that their career choice was influenced by personal experiences with health-related issues in the United States, at 18 percent. Racial inequality, bullying, gender inequality, and human rights rounded out the top five issues that Gen Z's career choices were influenced by in that year.
