According to a survey conducted in 2024, 80 percent of adults aged 18 to 49 years who were unlikely to ever have children in the United States agreed that having time for hobbies and interests was a benefit to not being parents. A similar share also cited affording the things they want as an advantage of remaining childless, at 79 percent.
