According to a 2024 survey, live shopping and mukbang were voted as the favorite video streaming categories on WeChat Channels, each with a quarter of respondents. Following closely were entertainment and variety shows, preferred by 24 percent of respondents, underscoring the popularity of casual and recreational content on the Chinese super app.
