According to a forecast, the Chinese aviation industry was projected to have an overall jet fuel demand of 132.5 million metric tons. Following IATA requirements, jet fuel will need to contain 65% sustainable aviation fuel, which would translate to 86 million metric tons, However, the projected production in China in 2050 is only going to reach 82 million metric tons.
