In 2023, the capacity of installed new energy storage systems in China amounted to over 31 gigawatts. According to the forecast, the capacity was projected to reach 36 gigawatts by 2024. New energy storage solutions have been endorsed by the Chinese leadership and include lithium-ion batteries, super capacitors, and flow batteries.
