As of 2021, six large-scale integrated CCUS projects with a combine capture capacity of 2.1 million metric tons in capture capacity were in operation in China. The largest project in operation was the Sinopec Huadang Project. While there were 35 completed CCUS projects in China, most were not commercial projects, but instead run by the government for demonstration purposes.
