Most streamed TV dramas in China Q1 2024, based on average streams per episode

The Chinese fantasy drama The Legend of Shen Li went viral in China in the first quarter of 2024. It was the only TV drama to surpass 40 million streams per episode. The Hunter and Always on the Move followed closely with 32 million and 31 million views per episode, respectively.

The source only included series released between January 1 and March 31, 2024. The period measured starting from the release date of the first episode and ended 14 days after the release date of the last episode.

The average number of streams per episode reflected real-time statistics of effective user playback behavior. Playback was recorded as effective only when the user watches the full episode for a duration exceeding a certain threshold. The data was collected from six major online video platforms in China, i.e. iQIYI, Tencent Video, Mango TV, Youku Video, Migu TV, and Bilibili.
