In 2024, 86 percent of chemical industry executives surveyed indicated a likelihood of considering mergers or acquisitions, marking a decline from 91 percent in the previous year and a notable drop from 100 percent in 2022. Additionally, the percentage of respondents who felt 'very likely' to pursue such actions has decreased steadily, from 79 percent in 2022 to 43 percent in 2024.
