Opinion on how K–12 schools should handle AI advances in the U.S. 2024, by gender
As of March 2024, approximately 53 percent of male respondents in the United States reported thinking that K-12 schools should focus on teaching students how to use artificial intelligence (AI) appropriately, while 19 percent believed schools should focus on preventing students from using AI. The proportion was 51 percent for teaching and 23 percent for preventing among female respondents. In contrast, 28 percent of male and 26 percent of female respondents were not sure how schools should handle advances in artificial intelligence.
