About 54 percent of surveyed internet users in China were appealed by the production quality of micro-dramas, as per the survey results in late 2023. The storyline, acting, and theme were other key elements to draw the audience into the fast-paced series. Often presented in a vertical screen format and hosted on social media apps, these super short series deliver captivating storylines by episodes ranging from two to ten minutes.
