Data on local news consumption in the United Kingdom gathered in a survey in early 2023 found that 92 percent of consumers aged 16 years or over consumed local news and information. The most common type engaged with was local weather information, followed closely by local news and current affairs. By contrast, local life and community stories, sport, and campaigns were less popular.
