Most purchased D2C e-commerce product categories worldwide 2023

According to a 2023 survey, clothing and accessories were the most purchased direct-to-consumer (D2C) product categories. Approximately 44 percent of respondents had already purchased these items directly from a brand's website, while 45 percent were considering doing so. Another top D2C product category was electronics, which two-fifths of buyers reported buying. Consumers showed the least interest in purchasing food and beverages directly from a brand's e-commerce site.
