Because of their variety and many functionalities, wearables have quickly grown in popularity worldwide. As the term suggests, wearables are devices that can be worn, such as smartwatches, fitness trackers, and smart bands to track health-related data, earbuds, to listen to music or podcasts, and XR devices, i.e., virtual reality (VR) headsets and augmented reality (AR) glasses to enhance entertainment and work experiences. For instance, in the North American country, the smartwatch market is expected to grow in the coming years. In 2023, Apple ruled the American fitness tracker market, holding a share of almost 40 percent, while companies like Fitbit, Garmin, and Samsung occupying lower shares.
. As health and fitness topics become increasingly important, fitness trackers have become one of the most popular electronic devices among consumers. For instance, in 2023, almost 43 million Americans used smartwatches and almost 28 million used smart bands and both numbers are forecast to increase in the near future, as these devices are among the most common technological aids to enhance workouts in the country.
