Relevancy and trustworthiness are the key for gaining user attention in user-generated content (UGC). According to a survey on user-generated content conducted by Rakuten Insight in China in August 2023, around 57 percent of respondents who had not engaged with UGC stated the reason was that the content did not appear relevant. 47 percent of respondents considered trustworthiness important for them to interact with such content.
