Adults' capsule toy purchase experience in Japan 2024

The majority of adults in Japan have bought capsule toys when they were a child, as revealed in a survey conducted in February 2024. While 26.1 percent of respondents bought them as a child but stopped after becoming an adult, a slightly larger share stated to still buy them as adults. 
Capsule toys, known as gacha or gachapons in Japan, refers to a form of bulk vending of collectibles via non-electric machines. Common collectibles includes toys based on characters of popular media franchises.
