In 2022, Delhi achieved a score of approximately 72.4 out of 80 for school education access in India, surpassing Chandigarh, which scored 68.6. the indicators of access included enrolment, retention of students, transition to higher class/levels, identification and mainstreaming of out-of-school children.
The Performance Grading Index (PGI) of Ministry of Education scores states out of a total of 1,000 points, and includes 73 indicators, across six domains, divided into two categories: outcomes and governance management.
