According to a survey conducted among residents of various cities worldwide in 2022 on if they had been to a Korean restaurant before, the majority of respondents answered that they had. While 65 percent stated that they visited a restaurant serving Korean food before, 35 percent had not.

* In total this survey questioned 9,000 respondents in multiple cities. Surveyed cities included Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo, Taipei, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Sydney, Ho Chi Minh City, Mexico City, New York City, LA, Toronto, Paris, London, Rome, Rio de Janeiro, and Dubai.
